The trade fair industry has also suffered from the corona pandemic.

The industry is now mainly relying on the new IAA auto show.

Munich (dpa) - Visitors to the new IAA auto show in September are expected to have to wear FFP2 masks as protection against the corona virus.

It is not yet clear, but he is assuming that this will be part of the concepts, said exhibition boss Klaus Dittrich at a press conference on the restart of the trade fairs in Bavaria from September.

In addition, the fair relies on ventilation systems, visitor tracking and distances to make the event safe.

In addition, only vaccinated, recovered or tested visitors should be allowed on the site.

"Visiting a trade fair must be at least as safe as visiting a supermarket or a hardware store," said Dittrich.

The concept is to be tested from July 10th at a pilot trade fair, the TrendSet, to which around 12,000 visitors are expected.

Dittrich has not yet been able to provide any information on the expected number of visitors to the IAA *: "The IAA has the great potential to become a beacon for the

revitalization of

the trade fair industry throughout Germany."
