Since Monday, pharmacies in the district have been issuing so-called QR codes in order to be able to prove full corona vaccination protection via smartphone.
We asked how the offer went.

So it is no wonder that many citizens want to take advantage of the offer to have such a digital vaccination certificate issued in pharmacies. Not only at Philipp Kircher in the St. Ulrich pharmacy in Peißenberg, small queues keep forming on Mondays and Tuesdays. All pharmacies in the district report to the local newspaper that there is great demand. "The system has been activated since 8 am on Monday and since then we have been busy issuing certificates," explains Joachim Lippl from the city of Penzberg Pharmacy. "It is very well received."
More and more people would also find out more about the digital vaccination card at Marien-Apotheke Schongau, says employee Iris Aschenbrenner.

Digital proof of vaccination: this is how it works
Aschenbrenner explains that anyone who has complete corona vaccination protection and would like to have a certificate issued at the pharmacy should bring an identification document with them in addition to their vaccination certificate. Both are checked and finally a so-called QR code is generated. The code is usually printed out on paper or sent by email and can then be read in with a smartphone. The digital vaccination certificate can be saved and displayed locally in the CovPass app published by the Robert Koch Institute (RKI) or in the official Corona warning app. It should also be possible from today with the Luca app.
The employees would pay special attention to ensure that they are not accused of a fake vaccination certificate, says Kircher: "With a 30-year-old, slightly tattered vaccination certificate, in which, for example, tetanus vaccinations are noted back in the past, you are of course a bit safer." But one always looks closely.
Pharmacies struggle with technical problems
It takes around two to three minutes in the pharmacy to receive your digital vaccination certificate, explains Kircher.
At least if the technology plays along.
The Marienapotheke Schongau has to struggle with it on Tuesday morning, as Iris Aschenbrenner reports.
But she is confident that it will work out again in a moment.
"It remains exciting."
Right at the start, the server was already overloaded on Monday morning - unfortunately the problem did not arise on Tuesday, too, describes Joachim Lippl.
The server would crash again and again for a short time.
After all, all pharmacies nationwide have to access it.
"It was foreseeable that everything would be concentrated in the morning and afternoon," says Lippl.
The customers remain friendly, however, and react with a lot of understanding and patience when the technology goes on strike again, say both Kircher, Lippl and Aschenbrenner.
Almost 70 percent of pharmacies nationwide now issue vaccination certificates, says Kircher.
However, he cannot say exactly what the quota for the Weilheim-Schongau district looks like.
Vaccination center refers to pharmacies
Since last week, all newly vaccinated citizens at the Peißenberg vaccination center have been receiving a vaccination certificate - as it looks like with those vaccinated in the past, “we cannot say yet,” says vaccination center director Christian Achmüller.
Allegedly one should do that, "There are also enough inquiries from citizens, but we cannot do that at the moment".
Achmüller refers all callers to the pharmacies.
