The course has been set for a renovation of the Moosburger Rewe store: the building committee has now given the first rough plans the green light.

Moosburg

- The retail chain Rewe will be able to keep its location on Neue Industriestraße in Moosburg: At the meeting of the building committee on Monday evening, the preliminary decision from the property owner to demolish and build a new local supplier was unanimously approved. Units for doctors on the upper floor are being examined. The requested use as a pharmacy was also approved. A parking deck is also to be built on the planned single-storey structure.

The degree of structural use corresponds to the stipulations of the development plan from 1967, said Herbert Held, head of the building authority.

Likewise the planning of the open space of the already existing parking lot.

3rd Mayor Michael Stanglmaier (Greens) asked whether the parking areas could not be roofed over and equipped with PV areas.

“We're not the builders,” said City Councilor Martin Pschorr (SPD).

Owners are private individuals and you have to wait and see what will be submitted by them.

Held emphasized that it was not yet possible to discuss design issues.

With the input planning, the owners would have to submit a qualified open space plan that includes proper greening with suitable trees.

Sufficient bicycle parking spaces are also provided.

How long the closure will last between the demolition and the new building cannot yet be foreseen, said Held.

As reported, there is currently no suitable vacant hall in Moosburg that the full-range retailer can move into during the time of the renovation.
