And programming is one of the ones that grew the most.
In this context, a group of young Argentines created a technology training company that also helps to get jobs with salaries that exceed

, 32-year-old Argentine, is the creator of Henry, along with 4 other partners, and it was he who chose the name of the technological academy.
Henry is precisely the acronym for

, in the United States it is the term used to describe people who earn high salaries, but who have not saved or invested enough to be considered rich.
"We invest in people to become programmers. This concept is very important since we have everything designed economically
for the graduate to get a job
. Otherwise, we do not earn money", explains Borchardt and clarifies that, currently, after more than one year of operation, 90% of graduates find a job within 6 months.
How did this idea come about?
From Martín Borchardt's own experience.
A few years ago, at the head of the fintech Nubi, he realized that there was a total lack of talent of this type of technological profile.
He never got to put together a solid team.
This is how he toured the market academies, the companies in the field and they all had the same problem: there were no programmers.
"Technologies are constantly changing, the traditional educational industry stayed in time, fewer than 100 computer engineers are received per year. And the demand is abysmal: in 2019, for example, there were 15,000 computer vacancies and 70 professionals in the field graduated," he explains Borchardt.

"But also, graduates are not prepared for this market because they teach them old technologies, which are no longer used. I realized that this was an opportunity to generate new opportunities .... We made this state-of-the-art model of
education. funded to get a job
. So if you want to get a job, Henry is for you. If you just want to learn, no, "he clarifies.
And while Borchardt, a Bachelor of Business Administration with a Master of Business Technology, made the first investment in the business, his gamble was supported by major Silicon Valley investors.
The academy started in April 2020. Two months before and with the hypothesis that online education was not going to work, they had reserved offices in the center of Buenos Aires.
Then the pandemic arrived and education, yes or yes, was online.
They projected 200 students in a year and
ended up having 1,500.
Now they are adding to 600 per month.
How does Henry work?
It is a zero-cost programming academy that teaches programming with high-quality technologies and helps you get a job.
"Upon entering, the student signs a shared income agreement, a deferred payment contract in which it is specified that he will pay only when he gets a job for a salary

" explains its creator.
And he adds: "We already have more than 400 students who started paying and we invested in more students, it is a virtuous circle."
This charging system also allows everyone to access technology training, regardless of their socioeconomic level and where they live, since it is 100% digital.

What are the requirements to study at Henry?
Being over 18 years old, having completed high school and having access to a computer with Wi-Fi, you cannot learn to program from a cell phone.
It is also important to have a knowledge of English.
But in addition, it is a requirement to have a friendly environment to be able to study.
People between 18 and 50 years old, or more are signed up.
How long is the Full Stack Developer career?
The duration is 5 months.
The course is very intensive: 5 days a week, 10 hours a day: from 9 to 18. It is essential to have that time live because they have teachers on the other side to answer questions.

How much does a full stack programmer charge on average?
It clearly varies by country.
For those who know English, in the US they pay $ 1,500 to $ 3,500 per month as their first salary.
In Latin America, from 1,000 to 2,000 dollars (Argentina closer to 1,000 and Chile, closer to 2,000)
What do you have to do to apply?

More than 60% of the graduates started without knowing anything about programming, but you have to know that the career is very intense, you have to dedicate many hours to it.

How is the course?

The person who graduates must make an affidavit every month so that they continue to present it to companies.
When you get a job, you will need to attach your pay stub or invoice to the affidavit.
If the compensation is more than $ 500, Henry collects 15% of that bill.
That is, the payment consists of 24 installments of 15% of the new income or up to US $ 4000, whichever comes first.
Statistics say that 90% get a job in 6 months, and 70% in three months after graduation.

What happens if a student doesn't get a job?
Does not pay.
Since the payment is only when income is being generated, it is not a debt that is activated.
It is "deferred payment before an event" and that event is work.
Therefore, if the person is unemployed at 6 months, they stop paying until they find a new one.
This is valid for a period of 5 years, then the contract is canceled.
How is the profile of a programmer today?
"The programmer is no longer the antisocial nerd but the professional that everyone aspires to be. It is precisely one of the professions with the best salaries on the market and it allows you to live wherever you want because you can work from anywhere," says Borchardt that he lives on the Uruguayan beach and likes to surf. "
Is that, as he explains, programming allows learning to think, to create solutions to problems that society has and business models.
It is a profession that cuts across all industries, everything is invaded by technology.
"It's so important to me that it should be a compulsory subject in every school, like math or geography."
He says that his goal is to train 100,000 programmers, in a year and two months he already has 1,500.
"How do I see myself in 10 years? With an army of programmers. I will never have that problem from the beginning, of not being able to build a team, because now I know who the best are," he says.
