Finally something is stirring in the city again.
After many months in lockdown, the shops in and on Marktstrasse can receive their customers almost as they did before the pandemic.
This not only pleases the shopping enthusiasts, the owners are also happy about the relaxation.
Bad Tölz
- "In Bad Tölz in particular, we generate good sales," says Florian Lipp, owner of the Rid department store. “The customers are happy that we are open again - you can clearly feel that.” The department store also participated in the long night of shopping that took place in Bad Tölz on Saturday. “It was planned that we would be open until 8 p.m., until 6 p.m. things went very well, then not that way.” Lipp nevertheless rates the concept of the shopping night positively. “That was a good campaign.” Overall, according to Lipp, business is going very well, but he emphasizes that the city's support, such as parking discounts, is “very important”.
Nikolaus Hauser, junior boss of Männermoden Hauser, thinks it's “basically great” that there are events like the long night of shopping.
“Of course they bring something,” he says.
However, he notes: "You should have done it a little differently, for example by including the dealers and asking what other ideas they have." Reason why he closed his shop at 4pm and not the opportunity to open it exploited until 8 p.m., according to Hauser, the action had been communicated too quickly.
Tourists and locals alike have fun shopping again
He adds: “The supporting program tended to take place in the morning or in the afternoon. It would be better in the evening if the shops are open longer. ”In general, Hauser is“ very satisfied with the situation. ”Tourists and locals like to come, you can tell that they enjoy shopping again. On the part of the city, Hauser felt well supported at the beginning of the pandemic. "Towards the end, when the tests were compulsory in the shops, there could have been more test stations in the city." Tölz is rather cheap anyway. It is better to be able to park longer without adding money.
Florian Klugherz, employee at the sports store Krätz, likes the way the city tries to get life in Bad Tölz going.
“It is a nice approach that the city thinks about something.” In principle, he would also find a parking fee waiver “a good idea” to make shopping in the city more attractive.
Local public transport should be improved
In his opinion, it would also make sense to improve local public transport.
The Krätz sports store did not take part in the long night of shopping, but Klugherz said: “There is a lot more going on.
People are happy that they can try on and touch things again and that they have no trouble sending them back. "
Since the restaurant business has been open, things have been going better too, says Renée Obermeier, owner of Blue Flamingo Fashion. “The fact that tourists are coming and the first summer holidays in the north will soon begin gives hope. Everything is brought to life and the mood improves. ”Obermeier only found out about the shopping night on the same day. She could keep her shop open until 5 p.m. “I would like to see more shopping Sundays,” she says. "This is the only way to really catch up."
Similar to Hauser, Obermeier finds extending parking times a good measure to support retailers.
“You should be able to throw in money for a long time.
It hurts us when customers have to leave because the parking meter is running out. ”She also wants parking to be cheaper.
