On Sunday (13th), there was one death and seven injuries on a minibus at Tai Chung Kiu Road, Sha Tin. This is the second serious traffic accident on Tai Chung Kiu Road in just ten days after the school bus lost control and shoveled down the cycling track on the 4th of this month. The accident resulted in at least one death and more than 30 injuries.

The incident occurred at 2:54 pm on Sunday (13th). A white private car was driving along the middle of Sha Tin Wai Road towards the New Town Plaza. When it reached the junction of Tai Chung Bridge Road, it was commonly known as the "Wai Zi Deng" on the left. The turn arrow light turns green, while the traffic light is still red.
At that time, there was a round of black private cars driving straight ahead, and the white private car following followed the car in front of the lights. However, at the intersection, the white private car stopped and crashed into a green special line driving along Tai Chung Bridge Road towards Ma On Shan. The minibus has the right body, causing it to roll to the left and slide about 10 meters.
The 57-year-old male minibus driver Zhang Zhihui suffered a severe head injury and died. The remaining 6 minibus passengers and the female private car driver were injured and sent to hospital.
A 33-year-old female driver surnamed Chi was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving causing death. She has been released on bail pending investigation and must report to the police in mid-July.
At the time of the incident, a black private car drove straight through the lights. The 29-year-old driver surnamed Wang took the initiative to contact the police yesterday to assist in the investigation. She was later arrested for dangerous driving and was released on bail pending further investigation. check in.
