On the entrance to the birthplace of Jean de La Fontaine, in Château-Thierry (Aisne), a sign warns that it will be closed on June 17. And for good reason: this small museum must receive the President of the Republic and his wife, accompanied by actor Fabrice Luchini, in the afternoon. The day before, everyone was agitated in the city for this visit, devoted to the promotion of the French language.
