In the year 1078, in Acre, a city about a hundred kilometers from Jerusalem, Avner, a Jewish teenager who delivered fish to the monastery, lived in modesty.
His great pleasure is to taste a grilled galette covered with a layer of goat cheese and, at the beginning of spring, a fig coated in syrup offered to him by Thomas.
His other pleasure is to find the arms of Myriam, his cousin at night.
Avner's tyrannical father orders him to stay away from the church.
One day, Avner breaks the order.
He enters the church.
