With the planned expansion of the “Pischlach Moos II” industrial park, the municipality of Böbing wants to designate an additional area for local needs.

The planned area on the eastern outskirts of Böbing covers an area of around 20,000 square meters.

The Schuster company needs most of this to expand its business.

Böbing

- The prerequisite for the expansion of the commercial area is that the municipality of Böbing changes the existing zoning plan.

And it does.

As early as three months ago, the public authorities' statements were incorporated into the existing land use plan where necessary and sent back to the public authorities.

At the latest meeting of the municipal council, Mayor Peter Erhard and VG boss Peter Vogt presented the comments that were received again.

There were 18 in total.

14 of them raised suggestions or concerns.

For the most part, only editorial changes were necessary.

This is not the case with the opinion of the government of Upper Bavaria as the higher state planning authority: From a spatial planning point of view, according to the note, the intended location is basically suitable for the designation of commercial building areas.

However, the authority wanted to know exactly what the two hectares of the “Pischlach-Moos II” industrial park near the main town are intended for.

Most of it, as Mayor Peter Erhard made clear, is needed by the mechanical engineering company Schuster to expand its business.

In its statement, the municipality listed details about the company that has existed since 1989.

45 employees with roots in the region and five trainees are currently employed there.

The automotive and mechanical engineering industries are among Schuster's customers - worldwide.

Since the order and economic situation has increased significantly in recent years despite Corona, the current operating location has reached its capacity limits.

Resource-saving planning, development and management are a matter of course for the Schuster company.

Important for the community: After the relevant assessment of the opinion, the government of Upper Bavaria pointed out that a new interpretation of the zoning plan could be dispensed with.

City councilor Robert Eder wanted to know whether such extensive justification would be necessary for every change to a land use plan in the future.

She is not.

Erhard said, "For this project we wanted the backing of the government of Upper Bavaria".

Incidentally, two hectares of meadow are lost as material assets with the designated industrial park.

At the same time, an industrial area of the same size is being created.

In addition to the Schuster company, other smaller businesses could also set up shop.

However, the mayor pointed out that this would not pose a threat to the existence of farmers.

The zoning plan will now be submitted to the district administration.

After its approval, the development plan for the new industrial park will be drawn up by the municipality.
