In Deir ez-Zor governorate, harvesting of lands planted with wheat continues, as the areas harvested since the beginning of the harvest season to date have reached about 13,000 hectares out of a total area of 29,460 hectares.
The Director of Agriculture, Engineer Abdel Hamid Abdel Hamid, told SANA reporter that the harvesting operations are progressing at a good pace in various regions of the governorate due to the availability of harvesters and the securing of diesel for them, indicating that the marketing of wheat to the grain receiving centers in Deir Ezzor is going well without any obstacles.
Abdul Hamid also called on farmers to expedite the harvest of their lands and deliver the produced quantities to the approved grain centers, which are two permanent centers in Deir ez-Zor and Al-Mayadin, and three centers for direct purchase and shipment in Al-Bukamal, Hatla and Al-Tabani, which cover all areas of the governorate, stressing that marketing operations are carried out easily, which facilitates the completion of the purchase of crops And pay the price to the farmers without delay.
In turn, a number of farmers praised the government support provided to the agricultural sector, especially the wheat crop, and the marketing procedures and disbursement of the values of the imported wheat.
