The "Public Service (Election and Appointment) (Miscellaneous Amendments) Bill 2021," which included district councilors under oath, was formally gazetted and took effect in May.
It is reported today (16th) that the government has finalized arrangements for district board members to swear oaths one by one in July.
The three acts of participating in the primary elections of the democratic camp, lending the office of members as the primary voting station, and signing the "Mo Luo Wu Regrets" protest group position statement will be included in the "negative list", and at least 170 district council members will be included in the "negative list". DQ includes 11 district council chairpersons and 7 district council vice chairpersons.
The Secretary for Home Affairs, Xu Yingwei, will attend the meeting of the Legislative Council this morning and is expected to be asked about related matters. "Hong Kong 01" will provide a live broadcast.
