The Auer Markt-Strawanza are on the move again.
The new Strass Tour celebrated a successful premiere.
Au / Hallertau
- The Auer Markt-Strawanza start the season with an extensive program.
Last Sunday the first tour took place with Strawanzerin Evi Sachsenhauser.
Four Auerinnen and a Moosburger followed the market leader on the Strass´-Tour through Au.
For the first time you could listen to Evi Sachsenhauser on her Strass´ tour, which she designed herself.
She had spent many hours doing research and also asked one or the other citizen where the names of the streets of her ancestors came from.
Among them were some well-known Auer, whose street name is commemorated for their work as honorary citizens, former mayors or for special services.
Josef Lechner, Mayor Kiefer and Josef Eberwein are just a few of the prominent Auer.
One and a half hours, varied and lively
The Färbergraben, Schießstattstraße or the Straße Am Galgenberg show where the dyers used to work or where the gallows used to be. The Stravanz woman had structured her tour accordingly and led the ladies' group through the market for one and a half hours using this red thread. In between, Sachsenhauser told the love story of Maria de la Paz and her wedding to the Bavarian Prince Ludwig Ferdinand and her visit to Au in a varied and lively manner. Or the verse about the cooperator Schmidt, who was invited to the feast in the castle but fell off his bike beforehand. These lines are also from her pen.
The tour continued through the former location of the swimming pool in Au, which the local listeners all still knew.
Finally, the ice cellar was visited, which is particularly worth seeing in Au.
