Dachau - For a change, good news from the Dachau indoor swimming pool!
As Robert Haimerl, head of the municipal utilities and thus future operator of the new indoor pool, informed the city council on Tuesday, the pool could be put into operation at the end of 2022, "if everything goes very well", "or at least in trial operation".
Because currently the work went more or less smoothly. There is "progress" on the roof, the facade is closed. The responsible architectural office, Studio Gollwitzer Architekten, has also introduced a new site manager, and architect Wolfgang Gollwitzer himself, according to Haimerl, wants to take over a “considerable part” of the construction supervision.
Nevertheless, there are of course still “a few risk positions”, as Mayor Florian Hartmann put it.
There may be subsequent legal disputes;
In addition, material shortages worried those responsible.
“It's really strange what no longer exists,” says Hartmann.
Also with regard to the electrical work, Haimerl admitted that he had "construction pain": A company had not yet followed its service request, according to Haimerl, one would now "go into corresponding correspondence".
Stadtwerke boss Haimerl also dared to make a statement about the costs for the first time in a long time: As of today, the indoor swimming pool will cost 20.5 million euros.
