Indonesia recorded 12,624 new infections with the Corona virus during the past 24 hours, in the largest daily increase since January 30th.
The Indonesian Ministry of Health stated in its latest data today that the total number of HIV infections reached 1,950,276, while the total deaths in the country reached 53,753, after 277 new cases were recorded.
Earlier today, Indonesian President Joko Widodo ordered the authorities to speed up the vaccination campaign in the country in order to achieve community immunity that could help stop the spread of Corona, at a time when the World Health Organization warned of the need to increase restrictions imposed in the country amid a new wave of HIV infections. .
Indonesia aims to vaccinate more than 181 million citizens out of 270 million by March 2022.
