Wolfratshausen

- The collective accommodation for asylum seekers on the Loisachbogen has been under full quarantine since Wednesday evening.

Wolfgang Rupp, press spokesman for the government of Upper Bavaria, confirmed this at the request of our newspaper.

According to Rupp, a resident who is housed in the former parsonage, which the district government operates as communal accommodation, tested positive for the corona virus.

As in November last year, the district office asked the police for administrative assistance in enforcing the quarantine measures.

The infected person has been in isolation since June 8th and showed mild symptoms of the disease. "

Marlis Peischer, press spokeswoman for the district office

The press office of the District Office has just reported:

"In an asylum seekers home in Wolfratshausen yesterday evening (June 16), an infected person received a reference to the delta variant of the coronavirus as part of the variant-specific PCR testing.

However, the entire sequencing result is not yet available.

All residents will be tested this Thursday

However, due to the suspected case, two floors of the accommodation, which is operated by the government of Upper Bavaria, have been quarantined as a precautionary measure. The infected person (21) has been in isolation since June 8 and showed mild symptoms of the disease. Today, Thursday, 34 residents on both floors will be scraped off by the health department. A second smear should be done on Monday or Tuesday next week. It is still unclear where the person concerned could have been infected, but the health department is investigating this. With a catering service and hygiene packages, the government of Upper Bavaria is ensuring that the people who are now in isolation are taken care of. So far, a total of 980 mutations of the British variant have been detected in the county, but not yet a case of the delta variant. (cce)
