At about 9 am today (17th), a fire broke out in a plastic recycling plant on Jiboling Road, Lau Fau Shan, Tin Shui Wai. Heavy smoke swept through the air. Five people in the plant evacuated to a safe place by themselves.
After the firefighter received the report, the fire was classified as Level 2 after assessment of the fire, and it was sent many times to provide reinforcements. A total of 4 jets were activated and 4 breathing apparatus teams were dispatched to fight the fire.
The fire was fierce at the scene, and black smoke could be seen in many places in the urban area of Tianshuiwei, and many citizens reported the case.
By 12:00 noon, the fire was initially put out, and no one is believed to be injured.
The cause of the fire remains to be investigated.
