In embodiment of the heroic epics written by the heroes of the Syrian Arab Army and the steadfastness of the Syrian people in the terrorist war, the Ministry of Information, through the General Organization for Radio and Television Production, worked on producing the dramatic epic “Because It is My Country” written by Mahmoud Abdel Karim and directed by Najdat Ismail Anzour with the participation of more than 300 actors, actresses and crew Integrated technician.
The 26-episode work will start broadcasting from next Sunday on Syrian channels in the form of continuous episodes and trios that reflect the Syrians' response to terrorism and the dark ideology of armed terrorist organizations.
The work boldly raises serious and daring questions about the negative effects of the war, including the rape of women, the marriage of girls to terrorists against their will, their giving birth to children of unknown parentage, and their employment in a dramatic, coherent and connected form to be in reality drawing the relevant institutions and the Syrian society to find solutions to them.
The work also presents human and social stories that reflect the reality that Syrians lived through during the years of war, and the sadness, joy, hope, pain, negative effects and honorable examples that they witnessed.
The mass production of the work was filmed in about 7 governorates and in many military sites that witnessed real battles. The white dialect was used in it, taking into account the dialect of each Syrian region, in addition to the languages and dialects of the mercenary terrorists.
In a press conference held at the Ministry of Information building in Damascus, attended by the director of the work and head of the media branch in the political administration, Brigadier Ghaleb Jazia, director of the production institution Maher Azzam, writer Nahla Al-Susu, critic Saad Al-Qassem and a crowd of business stars and journalists, and the author of the work was absent due to an emergency health situation, between the assistant Minister of Information Ahmed Dawa that the conference It comes on the occasion of announcing the end of the technical operations of the dramatic epic “because it is my country,” noting that the work sheds light on the sacrifices of the people and the army and clarifies the facts that took place on the ground in light of the distortion that Syria was subjected to by hostile media that falsified the facts and turned the events around.
The idea of the series was launched, according to Dawa from the Ministry of Information, where a committee was formed headed by the minister, through which a group of heroic and human societal stories that formed the outlines of the series were collected through a constellation of war correspondents and writers who documented their literary works some of the events.
The next step was through choosing the writer Mahmoud Abdel Karim, who wrote the final text.
For his part, the great director Anzour pointed out that the dramatic work includes a selection of Syrian artists with the participation of students of the Higher Institute of Dramatic Arts and young directors, as they all participated with great effort and with full emotion and did not wait for the financial return, but rather to present something important to Syria and its history.
Anzour stressed the importance of the work because it documented the heroism of our army, which valiantly confronted mercenaries from all countries of the world armed with weapons and supported by major countries, adding that this work touches the conscience and documents legendary tales on this honorable land that cannot be described.
In turn, Brigadier General Jazia drew attention to the importance of the partnership between the Ministry of Defense and Information in documenting the sacrifices of our army and its righteous martyrs and the martyrs of the national media, indicating that the dramatic work, because it is my country, is part of a group of works that dealt with the war on Syria, including the movie “You are wounded and for the end of life” as well as close cooperation with the Ministry of Culture And the Arab Writers Union to produce new literary and intellectual epics that will be a beacon for future generations.
As for the journalist, Nahla Al-Susu, she pointed out the importance of the work because it depicts epics unparalleled in the world witnessed by the Syrian land and deserves to be documented, appreciating the effort of its author in writing a historical document for the coming time by depicting the human values that this army carried and the unparalleled valor in standing in the face of the forces that She plotted against Syria, expressing her confidence in the excellence of the work and the ability of its writer and director.
The critic Saad Al-Qasim pointed out that the writer Abdul Karim made every effort to come up with this dramatic and documentary work, indicating that he did not deal with the major events in the war, but rather touched on events unknown to most people based on a social background of coherent stories.
Al-Qassem affirmed his confidence that the work will be special and beautiful, because director Anzour is a case and a qualitative leap in Syrian and Arab drama.
The Director of the Radio and Television Production Corporation, Maher Azzam, stressed the great support that the Corporation received from the Ministry of Information during the implementation of this work, which is considered exceptional at the level of Syrian drama.
He pointed out that the work is distinguished by the fact that it presents a group of tales of the heroes of our army, trying to present a dramatic template that simulates what happened in reality, as it was depicted over the entire Syrian geography by a great author and a creative director, indicating that this epic will not be a single series, but rather a series of series with the same dramatic template.
