The horror was great after the wild party at Emmeringer See.

Many FOS / BOS students graduated there on Tuesday.

The next day the area was littered with rubbish and broken glass.

Now the students speak up.

Emmering - you apologize - also point out that many of the celebrants did not come from their school at all.

"On behalf of the students from the Fürstenfeldbruck technical college and vocational school, we would like to sincerely apologize for the damage and workload",

says the letter from the student co-administration to Emmering's mayor Floerecke, which is also available in the daily newspaper.

In the statement on the article in our newspaper on Thursday, the student co-administration (SMV) also explains that the reporting presents the young people "in the wrong light". It is true that the final classes celebrated at the lake. The students also make no secret of the fact that a lot of alcohol has flowed. However, many other young people would have joined them. Most of them have nothing to do with school.

The SMV also points out that their school is a very environmentally conscious institution.

Most of the classmates would have cleaned up their trash after the party.

"We would like to distance ourselves clearly from the chaos and rioters mentioned in the newspaper article," the letter says.

Environmental pollution and, above all, property damage are not trivial offenses.

"We condemn this sharply." The SMV is available for a clarifying discussion with the community.

One could talk about solutions for the future.

That was the report on what happened.

The letter in full

Today we read with horror the newspaper report on yesterday's celebrations at the recreational area at Emmeringer See.

The pictures and reports leave us speechless.

On behalf of the students from the Fachoberschule and Berufsoberschule Fürstenfeldbruck we would like to sincerely apologize for the damage and workload.

In spite of this, or precisely because of this, we would like to comment on the newspaper article because it portrays us and our school in a wrong light. It is true that the majority of this year's high school students made their way to Emmeringer See after their last Abitur exam to celebrate the end of the school year there, also with alcohol, but one has to say about the situation on site that there is also one There were a very large number of young people on site that we had never seen at our school, let alone that these classmates would have been ours. It must also be emphasized: it was neither a school nor a planned event. Many of the classes went to the lake after the exams, regardless of the school, without having planned it beforehand.

In general, our school is a very environmentally conscious institution. The results of the Umwelt-AG show this. Our teachers approached us in advance and asked us to show consideration for other visitors, residents and the environment. Most of our classmates did this too, cleaned up their rubbish after the party and celebrated peacefully before that. Unfortunately, we cannot say that about all of them. We would like to distance ourselves clearly from the chaos and rioters mentioned in the newspaper article.

Environmental pollution and, above all, property damage are not trivial offenses. We condemn them sharply!

Nevertheless, we would like to say that a largely peaceful celebration took place here, despite several hundred drunk young people.

Our classmates also always behaved respectfully towards the police.

Closing the popular area would not only be a shame, it would only shift the problem and would therefore not be a solution from our point of view.

We are at your disposal for a clarifying conversation, in which possible solutions for the future can also be exchanged and discussed.
