The case of Unaccompanied Minors (unaccompanied minors)
Among foreigners responsible for crimes and offenses, one category has attracted particular attention in recent years, that of unaccompanied minors.
Their number has increased enormously over the past fifteen years.
In 2005, a report from the Igas estimated that 2,500 these minors were present in the departmental children's social assistance services as of September 30, 2014. As of December 31, 2019, 31,009 unaccompanied minors were supported by the children. departmental councils.
In 2019, the top three countries of origin of these minors were Guinea (24.67%), Mali (23.29%) and Côte d'Ivoire (13.16%).

Among them, an unknown number is neither minor nor isolated (1) and another part (which does not cover the first) commits acts of delinquency, sometimes in an extremely repeated manner.
