Protassevich has been in custody for more than three weeks.
He was presented to the public as a surprise guest at the press conference in the Foreign Ministry.
The authority had previously announced that it would give a press briefing, in which it should focus in particular on the Minsk view of the Ryanair flight that was forced to land.
