His mother and a collaborator were taken as interviewees to the station but were allowed to leave two hours later.

According to Katherine Wyman, her brother, 27, a marketing specialist, was arrested for his activism in the Blue and White Unit.

The human rights group Nicaragua Never Again, condemned through its social networks what it considers "the continuation of the arbitrary arrests" against Wyman Castillo and his son, both members of the National Unit, by police agents.

In another message, the group also denounced that in "the house where a 98-year-old relative is found, there are several patrols with the intention of raiding her."

In Nicaragua the worst predictions always come true

CNN has requested information from the National Police about the operation carried out this Thursday at the Managua Shopping Center and we are still waiting for a response.

CNN has also tried unsuccessfully to contact representatives for Veronica and Joseph.

The raid denounced by the Blue and White National Unit arises after the arrest of at least 13 opponents in the last two weeks, who, according to the Nicaraguan authorities, are investigated in accordance with article 1 of Law 1055, the "Law for the Defense of the rights of the people to Independence, sovereignty and self-determination for peace ”, approved in December 2020 by the Nicaraguan National Assembly with an official majority.

The arrests have caused concern and repudiation in the international community, as well as calls for the release of the detainees by various countries and organizations.
