The Lenggries mountain rescue service had to move out six times in five days.

Lenggries - A review illustrates the wide range of tasks.

Last Friday, it was an evening exercise in which prospective mountain rescuers provided medical care to two fallen hikers in a realistic situation on the Sulzersteig (Seekar) before they were roped off difficult terrain with the mountain stretcher.

Things got serious on Saturday at 1:30 p.m.

A 50-year-old hiker fell on one of the armpit heads and sustained a head laceration and a shoulder injury.

Three mountain rescue workers set out on foot over the ideal slope, while a mountain rescuer was picked up by the helicopter Christoph 1.

The 50-year-old was secured in a rescue bag and pulled over the winch into the rescue helicopter, which flew the patient to the clinic in Harlaching.

The Munich mountain rescue service supported the rescue operation with four men from the base at Latschenkopf.

Fall on the Alm

It was called getting up very early on Monday morning when three mountain rescuers and an emergency doctor were called to a fallen person on the Bergl-Alm in Jachenau at around 4 a.m. A 74-year-old from Munich fell on the stairs and sustained a painful rib injury. In the afternoon at 3:45 p.m., operation number three followed near Hohenburg Castle. An elderly lady fell and dislocated her shoulder. Fortunately, three members of the mountain rescue service happened to be there to take care of the woman.

Sometimes the mountain rescue service also has to help out the colleagues.

Also on Monday afternoon, they were called to a fallen pregnant woman in Wegscheid.

Since the ambulance would have had a long drive, the mountain rescuers jumped into the breach and offered quick help together with the emergency doctor.

In order to avoid impairment of the child, the patient was flown to the Garmisch-Partenkirchen Clinic.

On Wednesday around 10.45 a.m., the rescue control center sent the mountain rescue service to a 74-year-old Grünwalder who fell above the reservoir lake on the Brauneck and injured his ankle.

Three mountain rescuers and a mountain rescue ambulance care for the patient and hand him over to an ambulance in the valley.

76-year-old falls several meters on the Grasleitensteig

No sooner had we got back to the rescue station than the next mission followed.

A 76-year-old stumbled on the descent from the Lenggrieser hut on the Grasleitensteig and fell several meters.

He suffered injuries to his thigh and cervical spine and a head laceration.

Two hikers took over the first aid and alerted the rescue workers.

The emergency services took care of the Munich resident and called in the helicopter Christoph Murnau for a quick transport to the accident clinic.

The mission ended around 1.30 p.m.
