District - The district parliamentary group of the Greens and the committee group ÖDP, Bündnis für Dachau, Die Linke / Die Party demand in a motion that District Administrator Stefan Löwl should put pressure at the MVV's shareholders' meeting for easy-to-use bicycle parking spaces in the new S-Bahn trains to be installed.
A concept for cargo bikes is also to be integrated.
In addition, the applicants demand that bicycles should be free of charge (at least) in the Dachau district. Finally, the limitation of the blocking times for taking bicycles should be limited to the interior.
Stefan Löwl's demands met with little approval.
In the meeting of the district committee, the district administrator said to his committee colleagues that they should “think carefully about whether we should subsidize the private enjoyment of the citizens”.
The new S-Bahn would offer more parking spaces for bicycles, but in view of the corona crisis, the district no longer has any money for the claims applied for.
The administration will now work out a proposal for a resolution on the matter and then submit it to the responsible environmental and transport committee for a decision.
