A 70-year-old Belgian tourist died Thursday, June 17, falling from ten meters during a hike in Savoie, according to the firefighters of the department.

This woman was walking on a hiking trail near a waterfall, in the town of La Bridoire in the middle mountains between Chambéry and the Lyon plain, before falling into a canyon.
The emergency services were notified by a person accompanying him. Seriously injured, the victim was transported to Annecy hospital where she died in the afternoon, according to the same source.
