Hot air balloon terrorism has returned to the Gaza Strip in recent days, with more than 40 fires, and the patience of residents and farmers is dwindling.
Faced with attempts by the new government to exercise restraint toward attempts to re-ignite the area, residents are demanding an aggressive response, alongside a long-term strategy, in the hope that they can get out of the recurring clash of tracks.
"The inclusion policy of the State of Israel must end," states Ofer Lieberman, a farmer from Kibbutz Nir Am, where another fire broke out today (Thursday).
"We in the envelope are paying the price of the bride, not the prime minister and the government. In the last week, an orchard and a wheat field have been burned here. We have great economic damage. A balloon law like a Qassam law should not just be a slogan - but an actual reality."

Danny Rahamim, a farmer from Kibbutz Nahal Oz, said that "in recent days a wheat field has been burned here. It is very depressing to see a burnt field, to see scorched and black soil."
He also demands that the government find a solution.
"It can not go on like this. But we are determined to continue to grow to the border line as we do. We do not want them to treat us as poor but as citizens of a country that has the right to live a normal life."
