The Iraqi Minister of Industry and Minerals, Manhal Aziz Al-Khabbaz, and Minister of Industry Ziyad Sabbagh, during their tour today, were briefed on a number of industrial facilities in the industrial city of Adra on the progress made by the Syrian industry despite the terrorist war waged against the country and the unilateral coercive measures imposed on it.
The visit included a number of human and veterinary medicine factories, food laboratories, home furniture industry, a tempered glass factory, and a review of machines, production lines, production methods and modern manufacturing methods.
During a visit to the Cancer Pharmaceutical Industry Company, the Iraqi minister confirmed in a statement to the media that this company is a pride for the Syrians because of its modern technology, and said, “The presence of such laboratories in Syria is a reason to be proud in these circumstances.”
He expressed his hope to increase cooperation and establish partnerships to transfer this experience to his country and establish a similar factory in Iraq to meet the needs of the Iraqi market, in addition to cooperation in other fields and benefiting from the advanced Syrian industrial experience, especially with regard to manufacturing machinery, equipment and production lines.
For his part, Minister Sabbagh indicated that the visit to the facilities in Adra Industrial City comes within the framework of informing the Iraqi Minister of Industry on the reality of the Syrian industry and researching aspects of cooperation and integration between the two countries, which will crystallize in the development of joint visions and future cooperation projects between the two sides.
