The meeting discussed the terms of the long-term strategic economic cooperation agreement between the two countries, what has been implemented and what is being worked on, the obstacles and problems that have prevented the implementation of some items, raising the levels of trade exchange, and mechanisms that help facilitate the exchange of goods and financial transactions between the two sides in a way that helps to overcome the obstacles faced by Iranian and Syrian companies. .
Minister Islami stressed that Syria is living in an important strategic circumstance in light of the political and military victories that have been achieved thanks to the steadfastness of the state and the people and the support of the resistance axis, noting the success of the presidential elections, which witnessed a wide popular turnout, which requires accelerating the pace of what serves the reconstruction and prosperity of the economy, calling for the need to remove the main obstacles facing Activate the terms of the agreements.
For his part, Minister Al-Khalil considered that the meeting with the Iranian side is a good opportunity to discuss all that is good for the relations between the two countries, pointing to the great achievement that has been achieved during the last period at the level of joint preparations and agreements, explaining that implementing what is included in the agreements will lead to a qualitative leap at all levels.
Last Tuesday evening, an Iranian delegation began its visit to Syria, including the head of the committee, the assistants of the Islamic Minister for Housing and Building Affairs, the director of the Ports and Navigation Organization, the assistant minister of foreign affairs, the director general for the Middle East and North Africa at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and experts on Syrian affairs for the International Affairs Office in the Ministry of Roads and the Development Committee Economic between Iran, Iraq and Syria and the Executive Secretary of the Iranian-Syrian Joint Chamber of Commerce.
