The General Authority of Al-Assad Hospital in Deir Ezzor put two new water filtration systems and three dialysis machines in service in the hospital’s dialysis department.
The Director of the General Authority of the Hospital, Dr. Mamoun Heza, indicated in a statement to SANA reporter that as a result of the expansion of the work of the Industrial Dialysis Department, two water purification systems provided by the Syrian Arab Red Crescent and three dialysis devices provided by the World Health Organization were put into service, pointing out that the installation of the two new systems Contributes to increasing the number of sessions provided to patients and shortening the session time from four hours to two hours.
Heza pointed out that the dialysis department, which has not stopped working over the past years, is working to provide services to patients in the governorates of Deir Ezzor and Raqqa, who number 108, as part of its keenness to provide all health services to the people.
In turn, the head of the technical office at the General Hospital Authority, Rabie Al-Nuwaiser, explained that the two systems that were installed are among the latest devices in this field and work to remove salts from the water used in the dialysis process. To be backup and use when needed or make expansion of the department.
