By order of the
Office
of the
Attorney for Administrative Investigations
(PIA), the Ministry of Health initiated an administrative summary to determine who intervened in the circuit used to favor leaders and politicians with the application of the vaccine against covid-19. Now, the prosecutor Sergio Rodríguez asked that this investigation be expanded and
included the investigation into the 60 doses assigned to the Posadas Hospital that would have been diverted to El Calafate.
The investigation into the VIP Vaccination scandal that forced Ginés González García to resign from his position as Minister of Health, is deepened and adds lines of investigation in two different areas but with a point of coincidence: clarifying the circuit that allowed
politicians, leaders, trade unionists, family members and friends linked to political power were inoculated
outside the guidelines established by the Government in its vaccination plan.
Most of the complaints were settled in Comodoro Py. The main cause has to do with a list of 70 people who would have received irregularly a dose of the Sputnik V vaccine and the alleged diversion of a shipment of doses to El Calafate, and is in charge of
Judge María Eugenia Capuchetti and the prosecutor Eduardo Taiano.
Simultaneously, the PIA in charge of
Sergio Rodríguez,
instructs a preliminary investigation that may lead to a criminal complaint on the case.
The authorities indicated that the facts raised - in addition to the serious irregularities that would have been verified when a "VIP vaccination program" was arranged, accessed through "contact" with the now former minister - "would be revealing
serious abuses of power in the fulfillment of the public function
".

The agency intervenes under the premise that there could be "some possible harm against the State."
Within the framework of this investigation, the prosecutor Rodríguez ordered the Ministry of Health to expand the administrative investigation already initiated and to include the alleged diversion of vaccines to the town of El Calafate.
In his request, the head of the Attorney General's Office requested that the object of the investigation be expanded and that the reasons why
sixty doses
assigned to the National Hospital "Professor Alejandro Posadas" were transported on January 23 on a commercial airline flight be reported. Argentinas to the Santa Cruz city of El Calafate.
This fact was denounced by the deputy Graciela Ocaña, who maintained that crimes of public action could have been committed "by officials of the Ministry of Health of the Nation."
The complaint claims that on Friday, January 23, at 08:40 a commercial flight of Aerolineas Argentinas departed from the Ezeiza Airport to the El Calafate International Airport.
"At the last minute, the Airport Security Police would have received a call from an authority of Aerolineas Argentinas requesting that the plane not take off, since a person sent by the then Secretary of Access to Health, Dra. Carla Vizzotti, would address -in principle- about 60 doses of the Sputnik V vaccine, "said Ocaña. At the time of giving more details, he indicated that said person would be Gustavo
Javier Bahut
, head of monitoring at the Posadas Hospital.
The indication that would have been made "in order not to raise suspicions, was that the conservator where the doses of the vaccine were
kept had to go through the scanner destined to control the crew
."
The Airport Security Police indicated that "the routine control was complied with, the doses were scanned."
Meanwhile, in a statement the Ministry of Health confirmed the shipment through Aerolineas Argentinas of “10 (ten) doses composed of 2 (two) multidose vials, of five doses each, of Sputnik V vaccines, component 1, number of lot 486081120R ".
“In this case, it was a supplementary shipment of doses requested by the authorities of the SAMIC hospital.
The exchange of supplies between hospitals dependent on the national orbit is common ”, it was indicated.
It was in this context that Rodríguez requested that the administrative summary be expanded, to determine
what was the interference of the Ministry of Health
in these events.
On the other hand, it seeks to know the reasons "why the remaining critical stock was not used and if the distribution of doses between hospitals is legitimate and not a violation of the criteria used for its original distribution."
The administrative summary that must now include the shipment of doses sent to Santa Cruz in January - when only health personnel and people considered at risk were to be vaccinated - also seeks to individualize the responsibilities around the allegedly irregular supply of Covid vaccines. -19.
On this aspect, the PIA asked the area responsible for the administrative summary to provide
"concrete and reasoned" explanations.
