The announcement of the effectiveness of 47% of the CureVac vaccine against covid-19 caused the collapse in the share price of almost 50% in Germany and the United States.
CureVac reported that efficacy may have been reduced because volunteers from 10 countries who participated in the study were exposed to new, more contagious variants of the virus.
