The young man, Maher Al-Ali, who was accompanied by the weapon of hope in the future, was not deterred by his sight when he was a young child. He studied, as he mentioned to SANA’s reporter, in the Department of Adult Education in As-Suwayda, and obtained certificates that qualified him to apply for high school, to complete his university studies in sociology and to graduate from the university in 2018, indicating that his studies This specialization contributed to enhancing his knowledge of society and achieving part of the goal that any person with visual impairment aspires to.

Maher’s hope is not in knowledge, but in work as well. He performs functional tasks in Salkhad City Hospital, which is to write requests on a computer and print them using a speaking program that pronounces words for him, in addition to his current quest for an additional special work after his work ends. He also has a talent for playing the lute and skill in repairing some electrical parts. and small home electronics.

As for the young woman, Marwa Al-Ashush, her determination is no less than Maher’s determination and determination. She faced the visual impairment that accompanied her since birth and succeeded, as she mentioned, with the help of her family, by studying until the tenth grade at the School for the Blind in Damascus. Then she continued her studies in Sweida with healthy students through a private school, despite the difficulty of the issue of integration until She applied for the secondary certificate freely and obtained a total of grades that helped her achieve her ambition and register in the English Department of the Faculty of Arts at Damascus University and graduate in the 2018-2019 academic year.

Marwa is happy to reach this degree, like other blind people, in line with her continuing work at the Institute for the Deaf and Mute and her quest to amend her job description when a suitable vacancy for her specialization becomes available.

Marwa was not challenged by science and work only, but by entering the marital cage with a young man with partial visual impairment and practicing her home activity with ease, while receiving support from her husband, and also continuing to play the game of chess, through which she achieved advanced positions in the republic’s championships.

Mervat Jammoul, the daughter of the village of Rima Hazem, presented a title for distinction among the blind, where almost complete loss of vision due to a disease that affected her retina at the age of 9 years did not prevent her from continuing her life path and completing her education, all the way to obtaining a university degree in French literature in 2016.
