With the participation of more than 30 companies working in the poultry, livestock and agricultural industries, the activities of the International Exhibition for Agricultural and Veterinary Supplies “Agritex” in its twentieth session were launched this evening on the exhibition grounds in Damascus and will last for three days.

The exhibition, organized by the Atassi Company for organizing exhibitions, in coordination with the Ministry of Agriculture and Agrarian Reform, aims to promote agriculture, poultry and animal production, especially the promotion of agricultural products and the introduction of agricultural production requirements, both plant and animal, and the various services available to breeders, in addition to expanding the circle of knowledge and agricultural trade exchange.

In a press statement between the Minister of Agriculture and Agrarian Reform, Eng. Mohamed Hassan Qatna, that this annual exhibition is an opportunity to inform breeders of new veterinary products that have entered the local market, in addition to exchanging information and knowledge in the field of veterinary health care and providing modern agricultural production requirements, pointing out that exhibitions contribute to the dissemination of culture. And knowledge, and it is necessary to be present in it and meet with breeders and producers to see their problems to address them and help them continue the productive process.

In a similar statement, Iraqi Minister of Agriculture Muhammad Karim al-Khafaji stressed that visiting the exhibition is an opportunity to learn about Syrian agricultural and animal products and supplies, which indicate the development of Syrian industry and agriculture, especially the poultry industry, stressing that holding such exhibitions is evidence of the strength and generosity of the Syrian people.

The head of the Veterinarians Syndicate, Dr. Iyad Al-Suwaidan, explained in a statement to SANA that the exhibition is an economic event and its holding coincides with government support and interest to enhance the role of the agricultural sector, both plant and animal, to increase and improve production.

Chairman of the Federation of Chambers of Agriculture, Mohamed Kishto, stated that the exhibition aims to continue communication between breeders, producers, traders and consumers, and to re-define local agricultural products in light of the endeavor to develop this sector and support it in many ways.
