For the graduates of the Josef-Hofmiller-Gymnasium Freising (JoHo) the redeeming day had come with the announcement of the grades.

Freising

- 42 young men and 28 young women are finally behind them and can now start a new phase of life.

And the prerequisites for this are the best - this is already shown by the overall grade average of 2.12.

15.6 percent even achieved top marks of up to 1.5, and up to 1.9 a total of 34.4 percent.

Satisfied coordinators

The two upper school coordinators Hennig Arndt and Bettina Lohs were also satisfied with the brilliant achievements of their students.

The concept, according to Arndt, was also that not a single hour of the final class was canceled.

In general, the students had managed all the adversities of the Corona period very well, Arndt emphasized in retrospect.

Even with the corona tests at home, it would have worked perfectly, so that the tests could have gone completely smoothly.

Even though the examination effort per se was already very high, for example due to the room layouts and hygiene concepts.

The results

Jana Heiland from Freising, who achieved a top performance with an Abi grade of 1.0, was also well prepared. However, it was already clear to her during the exams that her grades would land in the upper range. After all the stress, she now wants to go on vacation and enjoy the summer, at least as best it can because of Corona. The 17-year-old also has plans for the time after that: She would like to complete a voluntary social year at the Freising Clinic. She is attracted to social work from a scientific point of view. “I just want to see how it is.” Before starting his studies in the natural sciences, Heiland would like to take another trip so that he can concentrate fully on the next step in life.

Rosalie Lösch from Freising will go on vacation now, presumably with her friend Jana. With an Abi grade of 1.2, she is one of the top three and is very happy about it. Lösch also has plans for the future: She wants to study for a high school teacher. There is also a specific reason for this: The 17-year-old would prefer to return to JoHo as a teacher - for math and physics. To see a bit of the world, she would love to study in Hamburg.

The third in the group of the best is 18-year-old Philipp Nissen from Freising with an Abi grade of 1.2.

Later he also wants to work as a teacher.

To find out how he likes dealing with children, he would like to complete a voluntary social year in the field of sport.

Before that, however, Nissen would also go on a trip.

However, it is still uncertain whether the desired destination Portugal will work because of the corona numbers that are rising again there.

It is just as uncertain what the Abi-Ball will look like this year.

If so, everything will be very reduced, says senior high school coordinator Arndt.

The same applies to the graduation party in the house.

"Aunts and uncles won't be able to be there."
