An explosive device exploded last night (Friday) at the home of Yedioth journalist Hassan Sha'alan in Baqa al-Gharbiya.

A lot of damage was done to the place, and the police opened an investigation into the case.

The house where the bomb exploded is Shalan's new home, which he was supposed to move into following his decision to leave his previous home in Taibeh, after a shot was fired at him about two weeks ago.

Two masked men arrived on a motorcycle in the area of the house around 11:30 PM, jumped over a fence and walked around it for long minutes.

Then they went up to the second floor, the construction of which had not yet been completed, put the luggage there and fled.

Heavy damage from an explosive device placed in the home of reporter Hassan Shaalan (Walla!)

Shaalan told Walla today!

: "I have no enemies, I have no conflicts. We do not know who wants and what he wants."

The house is still unoccupied while the family prepares it for its residence and according to the plan was to move into it in the coming days.

According to Shaalan, the family members were supposed to be at home at that time to move objects to him and were delayed because the children wanted to eat pizza.

Large police forces arrived at the scene, along with saboteurs and forensic investigators who stayed up all night until they left in the morning.

About two weeks ago, police opened an investigation in an attempt to determine if the shooting at his home in Taibeh was an attempted intentional assault.

The chairman of the journalists' organization, Yair Terchitsky, said: "We are shocked by the shooting at the house of Ynet reporter Hassan Shaalan.

This is a crossing of a red line and the escalation of violence directed against journalists in Israel. "

He said," We see this not only violates Hassan and his family, but an attempt to intimidate journalists and prevent them from serving the public and report on what is happening in the Arab society in general.

We demand that the Israel Police take all possible measures to reach out to investigate the truth and bring the shooters to justice. "
