On Thursday evening at around 9 p.m., at around 9 p.m. on the southwestern shore of Lake Karlsfelder See, the 46-year-old Karlsfelder observed a male lashing out and sinking in the water.

Karlsfeld rescuers and Dachau helpers begin resuscitation - then the emergency doctor takes over

After 15-minute resuscitation measures, which were taken over by the emergency doctor who had arrived in the meantime, the 55-year-old man's vital signs could be determined again.

The water guard had also helped and asked passers-by to use a stopwatch to measure the time that the patient was without vital functions.

This should help the emergency doctor to better assess the situation.

The patient was then flown to a clinic by rescue helicopter.

Identity of the injured swimmer known the next morning

Until then, the man was unknown, as no identification papers could be found on his clothing on the bank, the police said.

On Friday morning, however, an employer reported that his employee, a 55-year-old Karlsfelder, was missing.

The casualty could be identified as the employee.

The clinic announced on Friday morning that the patient was stable.

According to information from the ambulance crew, it was an unbelievable performance by the first responders and the water rescue service.
