When the mayor of Cabanès-sur-Argens opened the municipal council, each of the participants felt that the hour was serious.

For several weeks, Jean-Cassien Pirelli had sounded the alarm bell.

Summer was approaching, the leaves of the plane tree in front of the town hall were beginning to turn yellow and the charming village of the Var, made up mainly of Clair Logis pavilions, was still looking for tourists.

The latter (ungrateful) preferred the neighboring towns which followed the Roman road rather than the laughing city wedged between the A8 and the national 7.
