Ex-ski racer Martina Ertl-Renz loves her Bavarian homeland.
She now let her Instagram followers know - with a clear message.
Lenggries
- Many celebrities are drawn to the world after they become known, to big cities or even abroad.
But it is also nice when these famous personalities feel a deep connection to their homeland, even if it does not consist of the hustle and bustle of the city but of the silence and beauty of nature.
Apparently it is the same with Martina Ertl-Renz.
The 47-year-old former ski racer was born in Bad Tölz and grew up in Lenggries.
Even during her marriage to the former triathlete and current specialist in sporting goods Sven Renz, Ertl-Renz continued to live in the tranquil community of 10,000 people on the edge of the Bavarian Alps.
Ex-ski star Martina Ertl-Renz: Lenggrieserin enjoys her free time in Upper Bavaria
The fact that the mother of two was never driven away from her home country is probably due to the fact that Ertl-Renz feels more than comfortable there.
Even after 47 years, she still appreciates the beauty of her homeland.
In an Instagram story, she let her followers share in her enthusiasm.
You can see a self-made photo collage from pictures that Ertl-Renz may have snapped on her last trip to the local mountains.
Ertl-Renz wrote “Beautiful home” in large red letters across the pictures.
The whole thing is underlaid with a song by the British cuddle singer James Blunt: "You're beautiful".
A special declaration of love, then, to her Bavarian homeland and the mountains, where the future Olympic champion, world champion and world cup winner learned to ski.
Lenggries: Ex-ski racing driver Martina Ertl-Renz still lives in her old home - and loves it
Ertl-Renz still lives in Lenggries with her two children, daughter Romy-Sophia and son Luis.
Last October, the ex-ski star's separation from her husband Sven after 15 years of marriage became known.
Ertl-Renz then left the joint company, which specialized in the production of insoles and made-to-measure ski boots.
The two of them had already given up their joint sportswear shop in Brienner Strasse on Munich's Odeonsplatz in 2017.
So even more time for the 47-year-old to enjoy “quality time” in the local mountains.
By the way: Daughter Romy seems to have inherited her mother's talent.
As early as 2019, she made it into the top five of the German Under-12 Drivers' Cup.
