The area at Dachauer Straße 9 has a long history.
The Unkmeier dealership was there many years ago.
Later there was only a workshop in the back yard, while in the front building at the electric mirror was sold and repaired.
In addition, there used to be the Stangl cleaning company and, until recently, the Partsch painting company.
In the backyards, which are so characteristic of the area around Dachauerstrasse and Hauptstrasse, children used to play.
But in the meantime it has become quiet there.
That is now about to change - with the “Life finds inner city” project.
The excavator does not leave a stone of the old building opposite the Volks- und Raiffeisenbank.
New, modern houses are coming - and a lively backyard.

The aim of the model, for which the city once applied, is to make better use of the areas in the backyards - under the keyword redensification.
Instead of dreary courtyards that serve as parking and storage areas, apartments and open spaces are to enhance the inner city area in the second row.
This has already happened in many courtyards, for example behind the VR bank opposite, on the area behind the Brameshuber and in the neighboring Brunnenhof.
A Mediterranean-style courtyard has been created there - with a fountain, townhouses and restaurants.
This structure is now to be continued at Dachauer Straße 9.
"It was important to apply the concept of life in the inner city here as well," says city planner Johannes Dachsel. “Even if some hurdles had to be overcome.” Among other things, the question of how things are going east of the property.
But now everything has been clarified with the landowners, and the planning and construction committee gave the green light at the beginning of the year.
A residential and commercial building will be erected in the front area directly on Dachauer Strasse.
In addition to the four apartments, there are two shops and two offices.
Two houses with two and three residential units, five above-ground parking spaces and an underground car park follow in the backyard.
The city has secured the right of way, an arcade is planned according to Dachsel.
As soon as the excavator has completed its demolition work, it should start.
And then another building block of the “Life Finds City Center” project has been brought to a successful conclusion.
