India recorded 62,480 new infections and 1,587 deaths from the Corona virus during the past 24 hours.
According to the World Meters website, the total number of HIV infections in India has so far reached 29,762,793, while the total deaths from the disease have reached 383,521 cases.
This is the 11th consecutive day in which India records less than 100,000 daily cases across the country, after it peaked at more than 400,000 over several days during the months of April and May.
All shops and restaurants were allowed to open at 50 percent capacity in Delhi earlier this week amid a drop in new cases, but schools, colleges and other educational institutions as well as swimming pools and gyms remain closed.
