But the drama did not end: this Friday, the day that Lima would have turned 49, the mother of his children also died.

She was the mother of Julieta and Andrés, the result of her relationship with Lima.

Lima, who played as a defender and also played for Olimpia of Honduras and Sporting Cristal of Peru, were veiled this Friday at the Campeón del Siglo, the stadium where Peñarol plays his home games.
Robert Lima was a collaborator of Roberto Matosas during his cycle in Students.

Also the National Party, a formation in which he began to serve in the military in the 90s, left a message on that social network about "the sensitive death of comrade Robert 'Bola' Lima."
Lima made his debut for Peñarol in 1993, the year in which he won the Uruguayan Championship, which would mark the start of the club's second five-year period - after the one achieved between 1958 and 1962 - and became an iconic figure.

Later he played for Chacarita (1999-2000), the Honduran Olympia and the Peruvian Sporting Cristal.
He also tried his hand at Chinese Harbin Lange and Shanghai Huicheng and returned permanently to Uruguay, where he played for Liverpool, Durazno and Cerro Largo before retiring in 2008.
After hanging up his boots, he began his role as a coach, in which, among other jobs, he was in charge of the lower divisions of Peñarol.
In addition, he participated in television programs, such as Masterchef and participated in the 2019 elections under the list "La barra carbonera", in reference to the club of his loves.
