Bielefeld (AP) - A man from Herford is said to be jailed for six years for killing his 42-year-old girlfriend with a samurai sword.
The 37-year-old killed the woman in January 2021, according to the Bielefeld Regional Court, out of anger and jealousy with a sword stab in the stomach.
The German's testimony in the process was taken as a confession.
He had admitted the act, but claimed gaps in his memory.
According to the judges, the perpetrator had only limited control at the time of the crime and was convicted of manslaughter.
