The president of Mexico, Andrés Manuel López Obrador, announced this week that he will present to Congress three proposals for reforms to the Constitution.
One seeks changes in electoral matters.
The former president of the Federal Electoral Institute Luis Carlos Ugalde points out that López Obrador "wants to leave his mark on the reconfiguration of the electoral system, since he has questioned it in the last 20 years."
