The Brazilian Ministry of Health announced that the country recorded 98,832 new cases of coronavirus and 2,495 deaths during the past 24 hours.
Reuters quoted the ministry as saying in a statement that since the beginning of the pandemic, Brazil has recorded 17,801,462 injuries, while the official number of deaths has risen to 498,499.
Brazil is the third most infected country in the world with the Corona virus after the United States and India, and the second in the number of deaths after the United States.
