The “Regenbogen” and “Dreikäsehoch” kindergartens in Olching will receive two new play towers for 64,500 euros.
This was decided by the main committee in its most recent meeting.
Olching - During a safety check in April it was found that the playground equipment was badly damaged and unstable, said Markus Brunnhuber, head of the building authority.
A repair is not economical.
A brief discussion ensued about this.
The reason was that apparently different information was available.
Ralf Greim (SPD) complained that the photos that were enclosed with his presentation for the meeting did not show that the game combinations were so badly damaged.
He asked that an appraiser should check whether a repair was not possible.
That made Vice-Mayor Maximilian Gigl (CSU) incomprehensible: “We already have an expert who has given a well-founded opinion in this case.
We shouldn't assume a different judgment based on four images. "
Mayor Andreas Magg (SPD) also asked the point of a second report: “The expert has been doing the controls for us for years.
Why should we ask someone else? ”Greim replied that it was not evident to him that there was already an expert opinion.
"If an expert was there and recommends that the playground equipment be withdrawn from use, of course we have to do it."
His colleague Marcel Gemmeke (CSU) then pleaded that the members should always have access to all documents.
Then such a misunderstanding will not arise in the future.
Magg replied: “We will be happy to provide the safety report.
We just didn't see it as such a political issue. ”The main committee ultimately voted unanimously in favor of the two new towers.
