The coordinator of the nurses who cared for Diego Armando Maradona the days before his death at the Tigre house complicated the situation for the psychiatrist

Agustina Cosachov

and the doctor

Nancy Forlini

, by ensuring that all the medical indications came from them,

which never They warned about the cardiac situation of the patient

and that the premise was

"do not disturb or invade

" Ten.

Mariano Ariel Perroni (40) was coordinator of the company "Medidom", which was subcontracted by Swiss Medical to provide Maradona with the nurses required for the home hospitalization that had been set up in the home of the country San Andrés de Tigre, where the soccer star

died on November 25

.

This Friday he was investigated by the prosecutors investigating the death of Maradona, in a case that has seven defendants.

In the statement, to which

Clarín was

able to access

, Perroni tried to detach himself from all responsibility: "From the first moment, my function

was not to take medical actions

, but to control the entry and exit of personnel," he said.

Along the same lines, he later added: "I never received any other medical indication that was not to

supply psychotropic drugs

, to inform schedules and communicate in the event of an alcoholic need,

if the patient asked for alcohol or something

."

The nurse coordinator recounted a situation in which Maradona was "

aggressive

" and that for that reason he decided to communicate it to Cosachov to find a protocol in these cases: "Said communications

were not taken well

. So the next day Forlini tells me that I did not communicate with the treating doctors, or the family, or anyone around her,

she being the only interlocutor. "

The doctor Lepoldo Luque, one of those accused of Maradona's death.

Always with the intention to show that had nothing to do with the death of the Argentine popular idol, Perroni insisted on focusing on participation. "At the

request of the treating physicians, the specific obligations was to provide him with

medication on schedule

Do not "Invade him

, don't be disturbed and don't get excited.

The doctors were (Leopoldo) Luque and Cosachov

. That was always Cosachov's request."

And he added:

"I never received epicrisis or medical history regarding any type of pre-existing pathology of the patient

.

"

Earlier, Miguel Ángel Pierri, Perroni's lawyer, had already anticipated that his client would explain to prosecutors that he was "

a sort of personnel coordinator

" and that he never had contact with the former soccer player

or interference in medical indications

.

"He has been waiting for this moment and he is going to exercise his right of defense," Pierri said at the door of the San Isidro Attorney General's Office, where Perroni was summoned for his investigative statement.

"Their role was to assemble the team of nurses and

verify that shifts were fulfilled

. Afterwards, all medical and psychological directives

depended on medical personnel

," said Pierri.

The nurses Ricardo Almirón and Dahiana Madrid, the first two investigated in the case, compromised Perroni by stating that they had warned him that Maradona had tachycardia and asked for his medical history.

On that point, Pierri replied: "

Perroni I could not give any indication on therapeutic measures

. That has to be done by the doctors. And if there were any concerns, as someone said, we imagine that this has to be based on the medical part of each nurse ".

The lawyer also advanced that if necessary he will ask for a "confrontation" between his client and one of the nurses to "

shed light on some kind of medical report

."

Like the other six defendants, the head of nurses is charged with "

simple homicide with eventual intent

", a crime that provides a penalty of eight to 25 years in prison.

That criminal figure was chosen by prosecutors after six months of investigation in which they concluded that Maradona's medical team was not only deficient, but also knew that the "10"

could die and did nothing to prevent it

.

In their call for investigation, the prosecutors attributed Perroni to having "full knowledge of what was done and what was not done, especially of the nurses' handling of the patient" and of having entered "deliberately" in the forms of attention "information that was not consistent with the real state and medical care that Diego Armando Maradona received."

They also credit him with having shown "a disinterested and indifferent behavior in the face of the emergency situation."
