Companies and organizations joined efforts to clean the water of seas and rivers in Mexico.
The beer producer Corona held a "plastic fishing" contest on the beaches of Mazatlán, in the state of Sinaloa, and gave cash prizes to those who collected the most plastics from the sea.
For its part, the environmental organization H2O carries out a collection of eggshells to help clean organic material and heavy metals from the waters of rivers in Jalisco.
