With the participation of 60 male and female players, the Judo and Sambo Technical Committee in Lattakia held the Governorate Championship for the Cubs and Cubs categories in the game hall at Al-Basel Stadium in preparation for the upcoming Republic Championship.
In the Cubs Championship, the first place was won by Jamil Masri 34 kg, Majd Qara 38 kg, Ahmed Othman 42 kg, Muhammad Zaarour 46 kg, Hassan Sawaf 50 kg, Malik Bitar 55 kg, Abd al-Rahman Makis, 60 kg, Omar Ghalawanji, 66 kg and weight over 66 kg Yusuf Ali.
In the cub competitions, Maryam Al-Shawwaf won the first place with a weight of 32 kg, a weight of 36 kg, Shahd Tahan, a weight of 40 kg, Nour Muhammad, a weight of 48 kg, Taima Mustafa, a weight of 52 kg, Doaa Rono, a weight of 57 kg, Sandra Abdel Wahab Obaid, and a weight of over 66 kg, Rand Saeed.
Committee Chairman Haitham Habib said in a statement to SANA’s sports reporter: The tournament was characterized by strength and excitement because it came after a hiatus for a year and a half due to the Corona pandemic, and it revealed many promising materials, and it also comes in preparation for the Republic Championship scheduled in Damascus next week.
