The European Council announced on June 18 that it would relax border restrictions in response to the new coronavirus pneumonia (COVID-19), and include countries or regions including the United States, Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan as permitted non-essential Whitelist for travel.
Also added to the whitelist are Albania, Lebanon, Northern Macedonia and Serbia.
The EU recommends that member states gradually withdraw their entry measures to these areas.
