Five policemen were injured and a young man lost his hand today during the dispersal of a raucous party of about 1,500 people in western France.
"A noisy party was organized in honor of the memory of the young Steve Maya Canissou, who died in Nantes two years ago, during the Music Festival after falling into the La Loire River, where the police intervened to disperse them," he added, adding that the participants threw Molotov cocktails at the police and other things. It resulted in five injuries among them.
Yesterday, the local authorities issued an order banning this gathering, but the participants insisted on holding it.
