54 male and female players from Al-Raha and Al-Araby clubs and channels competed in the Suwayda National Judo Championship, which was set up by the Technical Committee of the game under the supervision of the Executive Committee of the Sports Federation branch today in Al-Basel Hall in Al-Mazra Sports City.
The cubs category were won by Aya Abu Ras (32 kg), Amal Kanaan (36 kg), Malak Al Shaer (40 kg), Raneem Al Safadi (44 kg), Elaine Zain El Din (48 kg), Sweem Yaghi (52 kg), Shahd Al Saad (63 kg), and Layal Shrouf (over 63 kg).
First came in the Cubs category, with a weight of 34 kg, Qais Abu Saab, 38 kg, Gad Munther, 42 kg, Talal Munther, 46 kg, Jawad Masoud, 50 kg, Milad Murshid, 55 kg, Yarub Kanaan, 66 kg, Wajd Haider, and Daniel Al-Jaramani, with a weight of 66 kg, won.
In a statement to the SANA representative, the head of the Judo and Sambo Technical Committee in Sweida, Adham Kanaan, indicated that the tournament witnessed strong competition and produced promising talents that herald a good future for this sport.
